10. The Undertaker vs Kane: Wrestlemania XIV
Takers most prominent feud over his career not the best match but some nice close calls for the streak.
9.The Undertaker vs The Big Bossman: Wrestlemania XV
This had to be the craziest ending to a match in Mania history, I knew it was a work and still found myself saying holy sh*t I cant believe they did this on TV.
8.The Undertaker vs Randy Orton: Wrestlemania 21
Last ride reversal into an RKO is the best reversal for the last ride I ever saw. As always Taker brings his A game.
7.The Undertaker vs Batista: Wrestlemania 23
Only Takers second chance at the World title at WrestleMania some pretty good spots here. The powerslam through the announce table was awesome.
>
6.The Undertaker vs Ric Flair: Wrestlemania X8
Legend vs Legend, Ric Flair flew all over the place and took some great bumps, Even got a little juice for the American Bad Ass
5.The Undertaker vs Triple H: Wrestlemania 27
This was a bumpfest and the only thing stopping this match from being much higher on the list is the slow pace. These guys are true workers.
4.The Undertaker vs Edge: Wrestlemania XXIV
Edge proved he belonged on this large of a stage. It's one thing to main event Mania it is entirely another to Main event Mania against Taker. Amazing back and forth here between these two.
3.The Undertaker vs Triple H: Wrestlemania X7
This is Takers hardest hitting Mania match. It reminded be of an old WCCW match the way they brawled through the crowd( I assume thats what they were going for considering they were in Houston). Bottom line here these two men bumped there asses off all over that place. This is a testament to two of the best to ever lace up the boots.
2.The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels: Wrestlemania XXVI
It must have been so hard to wrestle the same opponent two Mania's in a row let alone following what could be the best Mania match ever. These two tore the house down for a second year in a row and honestly this was one of the only times I ever thought it was possible Taker's streak might end.
1.The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels: Wrestlemania XXV
What can you say? these guys showed you what people mean when they calling wrestling an art form. With every near fall your drawn in more and more.Reversal after reversal, counter after counter these men painted the Mona Lisa of WrestleMania matches.
When I decided to write this article I figured I better go back and re-watch all the matches. At the start his move list was thin but as things developed Taker came into his own. I think his move set came alive as his character came alive. And even though he's the Deadman again his ring work has only gotten better. Taker deserves just as much credit for every match on this list as any opponent.
Some random thoughts about thoughts about all 19.....
Taker is rarely caught (actually only twice cleanly)on the over the top dive.
I really disliked the handicap match at XIX, I would have been much more intrigued with a one on one with Show. Taker should of lost by DQ at X7, even in the era of layed back rules hitting a ref usually gets you DQed. It kinda felt like the streak and his matches became a spectacle at X7 and just exploded from there. By far the best announce team to call his Mania matches was Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan.
