Matt Hardy's Suspension, WWE Creative Burnt Out,Scott Hall Senetnce Correction, and More
TNA Wrestling officials suspended Matt Hardy due to continuously arriving late to live events. In an update on this, the suspension was also due in part to the video he posted online of himself urging Jeff Hardy to stun Reby Sky (Matt's girlfriend) with a taser, "among other reasons." Basically, several things had been building up and they suspended him.
Hardy was left off last week's iMPACT! Wrestling tapings in Orlando, Florida due to the aforementioned reasons.
Matt Hardy tweeted the following statement in response to the online reports: "Just checked out the headlines on the 'net.. They make me smile :-) Everything's cool in life-luv it! It's 95 out but I'm not sweating ;)"
TMZ.com reported Tuesday that Scott Hall was sentenced to ten days in Seminole County Jail for resisting arrest last May. The story also notes that his jail time was reduced to two days for time served. According to a source, that the story is incorrect as just two days were cut off his sentence. That means he'll be serving eight days and not two as TMZ reported.
Hall will enter jail on July 5 and be released on July 13.
-- Members of WWE's creative team are said to be "burnt out" following two consecutive three-hour episodes of RAW, the Capitol Punishment pay-per-view event and conceiving plans for next month's Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. The team is currently preparing for double RAW tapings on 6/27 in Las Vegas and the double SmackDown! tapings on 6/28 (Phoenix) and 6/29 (Tucson). The team will be given time off after that, which will include the July 4th holiday weekend while the WWE crew heads overseas for a tour of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Next week will be insanely busy with the double tapings of both RAW and SmackDown!. We've also got another set of iMPACT! tapings. Yikes.
-- Drew McIntyre vs. Justin Gabriel headlines tonight's Florida Championship Wrestling live event at the Orlando Armory in Orlando, Florida. An autograph session will also take place with Kofi Kingston, Ricardo Rodriguez, Mason Ryan, Trent Barreta, Johnny Curtis, Jinder Mahal, Kaitlyn and Bill DeMott.
