30. Jeff Hardy
A 5x world champion and one of the most dynamic wrestlers in the history of the business,Its a shame he cant keep his demons in check or he may be higher on the list.
29. Samoa Joe
A TNA triple crown winner and one of the best workers in the business, Joe has no where to go but up and at 32 he has a ton of great matches still to come.
28. Owen Hart
Owen may have been the most gifted of all the Hart brothers and no doubt was on his way to main event status just prior to his untimely death.the 2x Slammy award winner and King of the Ring is truly missed.
27. Ravishing Rick Rude
Any man who can make the Warrior look good is an amazing worker but Rude had a special ability to get heat with the crowd. He is also the only wrestler to appear on both Nitro and Raw the same night.
26. AJ Styles
4x World champion, 6x X division champion, and 5x tag champion. He is the only person to win the TNA triple crown more than once, and the first wrestler in TNA history to be ranked # 1 in the PWI 500. Thats a hell of a resume
25. Jake the Snake Roberts
I know what your thinking what did he ever accomplish besides World Champion crack head. However this man is widely acknowledge by "the boys" as one of the best ring psychologist of all time. Plus he was over as hell.
24. Rob Van Dam
One of my personal favorites the whole f'n show R V D. The guy sold for everybody and stold the show most nights and still does. An innovative high flyer who had he not taken the time off may actually be # 2 on this list.
23. Edge
Another guy plagued by the injury bug. It seemed every time he got on a role he would get injured. A true heel in every sense of the word he knew how to get great heat. One of the best workers of this generations his programs over the last three years with Jericho, Batista and Taker, Were must watch for any true fan.
22. John Cena
The man currently carrying the torch. He is this era's Rock and as as over as anyone ever. And if he does turn heel he will be even more over. and may even be able to pull some Hogan level heat if its done right.
21. Terry Funk
Funk is a true legend, he may be the most tenured wrestler in the business and a true master at evolving with times. He was on the Hardcore band wagon, way before it became the new hot thing. To truly see his brilliance one only needs to watch his I QUIT match with Flair.
20. rey mysterio
Rey has become a main event player against all odds. But for him defying the odds is nothing new.
19. Mr. Perfect
One of my all time favorites Curt was a great technician and his gimmick was the hottest thing going in the early 90's had he not been injured he may have become world champion, as it was he went on to become a great manager, for a few years before coming back to the ring.
18. Dusty Rhodes
A lot of Dusty's accolades are over looked because of his booking style. However most men will tell you Dusty has a true gift for booking and is one of the best ever in that area. All I remember of him is the stupid yellow polka dots Vince made him wear as kind of a F.U. and welcome to my world.
17. Eddie Guerrero
A true underdog story. Eddie had everything against him, his size, his drug problem but through it all he percivered and became on of the most beloved champions ever. Another example of a guy cut dowm in his prime.
16. Harley Race
An old school stiff S.O.B. I remember him more as Vaders manager but anybody with 8 world tilte runs must of been a hell of a draw and great worker. Remember his runs came when the NWA board had to elect you world champion
15.Sting
I think he is one of the most wasted talents in the history of the business young energetic blonde Sting was over as they get and would have been the best face to fight the NWO. Instead he turns into a crow rip off and spent they better part of three years hanging out in the rafters.
14.Ricky the Dragon Steamboat
The match with Savage is probably enough to get him on the list, but he followed that up by going 60 minutes with Flair night in and night out. A 2x Pwi Match of the year winner Ricky had the in ring ability to be the best unfortunately he never could get over enough to be a true top guy.
13. Macho Man Randy Savage
The Macho Man was over in all facets of the game a great worker, great on the mic. Whatever the heat is between he and Vince I hope one day it's cleared up so he can be inducted into the Hall. Oh Yeah !! Digg It. He is one of the most intense men in the history of the sport and laid it all on the line every night.
12. Andre the Giant
Th biggrst attraction in the business in more ways the one for years. Andre was the man in the ring and backstage, It is truly fitting he was the first man inducted into the Hall of Fame.
11. Bruno Sammartino
A 5x time PWI match of the year winner and 2x World champion. he holds the record for longest title reign in history and probably will forever the way the business works now.
10. Triple H
Widely lampooned for his backstage politics Triple H is not given the credit he deserves a great worker who makes everyone he works with look amazing and thats what the business is about. Before he became known as a backstage worker he was widely credited with being one of the best workers in the business. He may end up having more to do with direction of the business then any man alive.
9. The Rock
The peoples champion was the most over competitor the business had seen since Hogan. and fabulous on the mic. His matches with Austin at Wrestlemania 17 and 19 still hold up as some of the best matches in mania history. I've been very critical in the past because Rock had basically shunned the wrestling world to be a movie star apparently forgetting that without wrestling he wouldn't be in any movies. So it's great to see him back where he belongs back in the squared circle
8. Kurt Angle
He won an Olympic gold medal with a friggin broken neck.Kurt is a gifted wrestler and a great hand on the mic. His skits with Austin and Trips and Stephanie are some of the best the WWE ever did. TNA is lucky to have such a talent.
7. Bret Hart
I am a true believer in Bret screwed Bret. He was a hell of a worker but his ego was out of control. Its nice to see him bury the Hatchet with Shawn. Its too bad he left the WWF at the time he did because he could of had some great matches with the young talent they had coming up.
6. Stone Cold Steve Austin
The leader of the attitude era and in my opinion the second biggest star in the history of the business. Gold on the mic and superb in the ring the guy had it all. It's to bad his career was cut short by injury because he is another guy who could've made it to the top of this list had the injury bug not decimated him.
5. Chris Jericho
A modern day Ric Flair, Chris goes out with two intentions, entertain the fans and steal the show. He did both of those nearly every night and he was finally rewarded when he became the first undisputed world champion in the history of the business.
4. Ric Flair
Considered by many to be th best ever. Ric was a master of psychology. Love him or hate him he was great at getting a reaction. His in ring work is rivaled by very few. Ric is the Man.
3. The Undertaker
20 years of basically one gimmick will tell you how over somebody is. The undisputed leader backstage, and possibly one of the best gimmicks in the history of the business, Takers 19-0 at Wrestlemania may be a more hyped accomplishment then being world champion. Outside of Andre he may be the most respected man in the history of the business.
2. Hulk HoganHulk Hogan was responsible for the two biggest booms in the history of the business and simply speaking had it not been for Hogan wrestling would be nowhere close to where it is now. Not the greatest work but excellent on the mic. The most popular wrestler and the most hated wrestler in the history of the business is a stat that justifies his placement on this list because in the end the fans opinion is what matters.
1. Shawn Michaels
The best to ever lace up the boots an 11x PWI match of the year winner. this man could make dog sh*t look good in the ring. He is simply the best worker to ever live. Mr Wrestlemania, The Showstopper, there may never be a performer like him again
